What is TopCashBack?

TopCashBack is one of the cash back websites that is gradually becoming popular for shopping. The way TopCashBack works is very simple. For example, you want to buy things from Boots. Instead of going straight to the Boots site, you open the Boots link from the TopCashBack site.

TopCashBack will receive a commission from Boots for referring customers and TopCashBack passes this commission back to you. So instead of having to pay 100% for the product, you can get 5%, 10% back depending on the company’s offer at that time.

How much money do I earn from TopCashBack?

I started using TopCashBack in December 2017. Up to date I have earned Cash Back £1,686.17 from my purchases. Below is a screenshot of my account as at today date:

What services and products is TopCashBack best for?

TopCashBack has many small offers for common brands such as Boots, Superdrug, M&S… However, often the best offers are for travel services, for example hotel reservations, airport parking reservations.

Below are screenshots of a list of some of my recent cashbacks. For example, in February I booked a hotel for £2,635.02 from hotels.com and got >10% cashback (£289.85).

How to register with TopCashBack?

How to use TopCashBack?

For example, if you want to buy something from Boots, instead of clicking directly on Boots’ website, you log in to your TopCashBack account. Then search “Boots” in the upper right-hand side:

After searching, the offer from the Boots page will appear:

You just need to click on the link to go to the Boots page and start searching and shopping as usual. You can also click on the “Offers” link above the search bar to see available offers.

What should I do if I make a purchase and don’t see the transaction appear in my account?

Occasionally when using TopCashBack, your purchases may not be recorded. In such a case, you need to wait 7 days to prevent the transaction from being delayed. After 7 days, if you still do not see the transaction appear in your account, click on “Customer Service” in the left hand corner under “Account”.

Then select “Missing Cashback?” and follow the instructions to report your unrecorded transactions. TopCashBack usually handles the situation quite well, taking a few weeks.

Overall

I genuinely think this is a great scheme to earn back money from your shopping, especially you are a keen traveller. There are a plenty of cashback offers on useful common brands. The only downside would be their lack of useful Amazon offers.
